Call for Volunteers: Parent Association Exec. & Grade Parents

Are you interested in becoming a Parent Association Volunteer for the 2021/22 School Year?

The Parent Association is currently looking for individuals to serve on their Executive for next school year. If you are interested, please contact Jessica Longo.
We are also looking for Grade Parents for the coming school year. Grade Parents are an integral part of the community. They assist us in a variety of areas including communicating messages to their classes from the school and teachers, and participating and volunteering with the promotion of school events.

If you are interested in adding your name to the Grade Parent list for next year, please email us at volunteer@cds.on.ca. If you have more than one child, and have a preference to represent a specific grade, please indicate this in your email with their grade as of September 2021.

The Grade Parent program is coordinated by our Parent Association. Grade Parents are not be assigned or confirmed until class lists are set in August 2021. Replying to this email is not a confirmation that you will be a Grade Parent, rather a call for interest.

Thank you to all those willing to putting your name forward!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
