Making Connections Campaign Gift

A gift directly supporting our Making Connections campaign is one that will help us achieve our dream of building the new Dining Hall and a new Senior School.
Without our families' additional support for the campaign, it will take much longer to be able to bring these wonderful new facilities to CDS. Gifts of any amount help move us closer to this goal, but there are a number of opportunities to provide a gift that includes recognition with a named space. Gifts to the Making Connections campaign can also be pledged over multiple years to help maximize the tax benefits, and the ability to reach a gift level that achieves the legacy of named recognition.

Benefit:
  • Tax receipt for full amount. (Did you know that tax receipt amounts can be carried forward for five years, thereby spreading the tax benefits over a longer period for larger gifts? They can also be shared or transferred to spouses' tax returns)
  • For larger gifts, profile and recognition as campaign leaders, listing on donor wall and other signage where appropriate
  • Named recognition on new building space at the appropriate gift level
  • Listed in the Annual Report.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
