Alumni Holiday Gathering Spreads Good Cheer

'Tis the Season to be Jolly - that was the all-embracing sentiment our Alumni felt last night upon walking through the entrance to the new Senior School for the annual Holiday Party.
Greeted by members of the Alumni Executive with background DJ music, our over 100 alumni and faculty guests enjoyed reconnecting with one another in the intimate setting of The Mantella Family Atrium.

Not only did our guests not want to leave at the end of the evening, but a memorable highlight was the announcement that the newly launched Alumni Legacy Fund raised $5,400 during November’s Alumni Challenge month! This is a giving milestone for CDS Alumni and a promising start toward building an endowed fund that will one day offer financial assistance for children of CDS Alumni.

Thank you to all who supported the Alumni Legacy Fund this year by donating your personal 1972. Although November giving month is over, it’s not too late to give for this year.

It was wonderful to see so many of you back on campus last evening. Check out photos of the event here or click on the gallery below.

We wish each and every one of you a very happy and healthy holiday season!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
