Leigh Bornstein '05

Overseeing a Global HR Network

Excerpt from Fall 2014 issue of The Link:

Leigh Bornstein ’05 graduated from The University of Western Ontario in 2009 with a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies and an Honours Specialization degree in Human Resources Management. She promptly landed a job with The Globe and Mail as an HR Coordinator and Executive Assistant. Although Leigh was learning a great deal in this role, shortly after her one-year mark wanderlust set in, and the prospect of backpacking through Southeast Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos) and parts of Australia prompted her to move on.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
