Our Alumni Walkway is Taking Shape!

During the Making Connections Campaign, donors were able to secure engraved paving stones for our Alumni Walkway located in front of the new Senior School entrance. The pavers include names of our alumni, families, current students, teachers and friends who supported this new initiative.

While the first set of pavers was installed this week, the opportunity to purchase one for your alumni, family or current students is still available through the Office Community Relations. If you have already purchased one and don’t see your name (or the name of your alumni) on a stone yet, no need to panic! We are hoping to have the second half of our stones completed and installed as quickly as possible.

Celebrate your lifelong connections to CDS today by purchasing a stone paver for our Alumni Walkway at www.cds.on.ca/alumniwalkway or call 905.833.3640.

Thank you for your support!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
