CDS Wins Winter Fulford Team Trophy

Last Saturday, four CDS students competed at the Winter Fulford Debate held at De La Salle College.
In the Junior Division, the team of Maria Ivoditova and Tomas Chacin finished 2nd overall, with Maria winning a coveted certificate for her individual performance as one of the top speakers of the day.
 
In the Senior Division, Jack Macdonald and Georgie Tsiolis finished 2nd and 3rd respectively and were the top placed team overall winning the prestigious Fulford team trophy!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories.
