Covid-19 Update - CDS Closed to April 3rd

The Provincial Government, based on advice from Dr. David Williams, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, has just called for all publicly funded schools to remain closed for two weeks after the March Break.

As a precautionary measure, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community, CDS will follow this same process. The Country Day School will cancel all regular classes and activities from March 23rd to April 3rd inclusive.
In the last few days prior to March Break, CDS provisionally asked students to bring home their essential learning materials. Additionally, faculty began initial preparations for temporary online curricular delivery. CDS firmly intends to have curriculum delivery continue during this period and expectations are high for participation on the part of students in all grades. Course instruction will move online during this two-week period and school will continue.

As new information emerges, The Country Day School will continue to communicate with our community through e-mail, social media and our website.

Land Acknowledgment

CDS wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. For thousands of years, these have been the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also recognize the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee peoples who also shared this land.  CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for these lands and waters for future generations.
