2022 Annual Ontario Qualifier Results

The 2022 Annual Ontario Qualifier for the Canadian National Public Speaking and Debating Championships were held Monday at Branksome Hall in Toronto. Sarah Croxon '24Ethan Wahba '24 and Diviya Amarnath '25 competed in this tournament consisting of four different rounds, including Debate, Impromptu Speaking, Persuasive Speaking and Interpretive Reading.
Ethan placed 5th in the Interpretive Reading Category. Diviya placed 10th overall and is an alternate to qualify and attend the Nationals. Sarah placed 4th in both the Interpretive Reading and Impromptu Speaking Category. She also placed 3rd overall, qualifying her to attend the Nationals, which will be held at St. John's Ravenscourt School in Winnipeg in February.

At Nationals, the top six students can qualify for the World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships held in Durban, South Africa in March 2023. Congratulations to all three competitors!
