Dean Sherman

Middle School Math Teacher & Coach
How do you continue learning in your life?
I am interested in just about everything, so lots of books, podcasts, documentaries, articles, etc. get processed.

What is one of your most memorable teaching moments?
My most memorable teaching moments are often my most memorable coaching moments. But if I had to pick one ... Feb 29, 2008.

Favourite thing about working at CDS:
The campus is amazing but it’s a distant second to the people (kids, parents and colleagues).

What is one of your life goals?
Well, I already did it ... go to a job each day that doesn’t feel like work because I’m surrounded by enthusiastic, committed people who care for one another.

Outside of CDS I’m a dad, a son, a brother, a husband, a softball player, a bass player, a community coach, a puzzle solver, a movie and TV fan, a sports fan, and (hopefully) a good friend.

Hometown: born in Brampton, raised on the West Island of Montreal and the edge of Scarborough in the 6, but since I’ve lived here for almost 30 years, let’s just say Aurora.
